Learn moreThe Foundation for Advancement of Essential Diagnostics (FAED) is a Section 8 nonprofit organization committed to research and development in the areas of clinical laboratory management, pathology, laboratory medicine and diagnostics. The primary mission is to make the latest technology driven best practices in the field of diagnostics accessible to the vast majority of the underserved population in India. FAED aims to augment the ‘Essential Diagnostics List’ (EDL) of the World Health Organization that has been recently adopted by the Indian Council of Medical Research as National Essential Diagnostics List (NEDL) for implementation in the Indian health care system. As the practice of medicine becomes more evidence-based and technology-driven, no "Rx" (treatment/therapy) is appropriate without a proper "Dx" (diagnosis).
